The Grade II listed church of Holy Trinity Church built of Kentish ragstone rubble with Bath stone ashlar dressings in an early English style was experiencing rapid deterioration of its high level masonry, mainly to the west of the church where the attractive and elaborate bellcote is located. The conservation team of PIERRA are being deployed to stabilise and repoint the west end of the church and repair, indent and replace severely deteriorated sections of Bath stone dressings predominantly concentrated to the Nave stone gutters. The stone gutters will then have new lead linings installed. To the north of the church the existing felt covering to the Vestry roof will be removed and replaced with new welsh slates with associated timber repairs to the structure also being carried out.
