Kidderpore Green, London NW3

This was a sensitive redevelopment built in Hampstead where the new buildings are contemporary in character whilst referencing their historic setting in scale and crafted details. The scheme is one of the latest schemes in London that has obtained conservation status.

Due to its sensitivity and status, it was paramount that the appropriate methods of cleaning and repair were employed to the facades to ensure they were in keeping with the historic surroundings.

PIERRA were approached to provide expert consultation and sample analysis to define the correct methods and mortars to use for the major façade repairs and adaptations.

Work consisted of the formation of numerous new openings through the existing walls, the re-building of all chimney stacks, the replacement of defective bricks with bricks specifically sourced for the project, the fixing of new stone dressings, the restoration of the decorative stone entrances and the complete repointing of all the historic facades.
