The property, part of Grosvenor Estate of which PIERRA regularly carry out work on, was displaying significant cracks to the moudled stucco cornices and string courses which was both a result of rusting embedded ferrous metal cramps and previous poor workmanship.
Following investigation and consultation with the project engineer the substrates to the cornices and string courses were stabilized where required with the embedded ferrous metal cramps treated with a specialist primer prior to be reformed by PIERRA’s restorers. In conjunction with the cornice repairs new cast corbels were supplied and fixed along with other associated works to the window heads, chimney stacks and flat stucco to the facades.
